- What time and where is hotel pickup?
- Pickup starts around 03:30 from hotels in the Kintamani area, included in the price. Staying in Ubud, Canggu, Seminyak or Sanur? Message your hotel on WhatsApp and we'll arrange pickup and confirm the exact time.
- What time is sunrise at Mount Batur?
- Usually between about 6:00 and 6:30 AM year-round. The 4WD reaches the viewpoint before first light, so you're settled with breakfast as the sun comes up over Lake Batur.
- Do I have to hike at all?
- No. The jeep tour involves no climbing, a 4WD takes you to a stunning sunrise viewpoint and on to the black lava and black sand fields. It's ideal for families, couples and anyone who'd rather skip the trek.
- Is it suitable for children and older travelers?
- Yes. With no hiking involved it's comfortable for kids, grandparents and anyone who wants the sunrise without the effort.
- What should I bring and wear?
- A light jacket (it's cool before dawn), comfortable clothes and closed shoes for walking around the lava field. We provide water and breakfast, bring your phone or camera for photos.
- Can I visit the black lava, black sand and floating temple too?
- The standard route covers a sunrise viewpoint plus up to two spots (black lava, black sand). You can add all locations, including the floating temple, for an extra IDR 200,000, just ask when you book.
- What happens if it's cloudy or raining?
- Pre-dawn skies are often clear, even in the wet season. We watch the forecast and will tell you honestly on WhatsApp if a morning looks poor, so you can choose the best day.
- Is Mount Batur safe, and is the volcano active?
- It's an active but closely monitored volcano. Jeep tours run on open tracks with experienced local drivers who know the area well and look after you throughout.
- What's included, and are there extra costs?
- The price covers your jeep and driver-guide, entrance ticket, sunrise viewpoint, black lava and black sand exploration, breakfast, water, photo spots and Kintamani-area hotel pickup. The only optional add-on is the all-locations route (+IDR 200,000).
- How do I book, and can I hire a whole jeep for my group?
- Message us on WhatsApp, no online deposit needed to ask. It's IDR 550,000 per person, or IDR 750,000 for a private jeep (up to 3 people), great value for couples, families or a small group.
