You get your own driver-guide, you stop where you want to stop, and nobody else is waiting in the back while you take your photos.

Your driver is also your guide for the morning. With nobody else in the vehicle, the pace of the whole tour is set by your group rather than by whoever wants to leave first.

The sunrise viewpoint, unhurried
The jeep climbs to a viewpoint over Mount Batur, Lake Batur and the surrounding mountains for first light, with breakfast. Staying for another twenty minutes because the sky is still doing something is entirely your call.

Photo stops that are actually yours
Photo documentation is included on every jeep booking. In a private jeep those photos are of your group at the stop, not your group waiting for a turn behind five strangers.

Choose your own route
The route options are the sunrise point, the black lava field, the black sand area and the floating temple on Lake Batur. Your booking covers up to two of them, and all four costs IDR 200,000 more for the jeep.

Is a private jeep worth it for one person?
Solo, the per-person rate of IDR 550,000 is cheaper, so most single travellers take that. If you want the vehicle to yourself anyway, for photography or for a proposal, the private jeep is there at IDR 750,000.
We're a group of five, what then?
We put together as many jeeps as your group needs and keep you travelling together. Send us the exact number of adults and children on WhatsApp and we'll come back with the total before you commit.
Does a private jeep mean a later start?
No. Sunrise sets the clock, so pickup is still around 03:30 from the Kintamani area. What being private changes is everything after you arrive: where you stop, how long you stay, and when you head back.
Is it suitable for young children?
Yes. There is no climbing at all, you ride to the viewpoint, so it works for children and older travellers who would never manage the trek. A private jeep also means you can leave early if a child has had enough.
