Cookie Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Do Your Journey uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, why we use them, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. We follow the EU GDPR and ePrivacy principles, and Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27 Tahun 2022).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as your consent choices or theme) over time, and help us understand how the site is used.
We also use similar technologies that work like cookies, such as localStorage (which stores small amounts of data in your browser) and pixels or tags used by our analytics and marketing providers. In this policy, the word "cookies" covers all of these technologies.
Cookies can be "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by another company, such as Google or Meta). They can be "session" cookies that disappear when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies that stay until they expire or you delete them.
2. How we use cookies & your consent
Our website uses an opt-in cookie consent banner. By default, all non-essential cookies are denied: nothing for analytics or marketing loads until you actively accept it. Only strictly necessary cookies, which keep the site working, are set without your consent.
We use Google Consent Mode v2 to enforce your choice. This tells Google and our other providers not to use cookies for analytics or advertising until you have given consent, and to respect a withdrawal straight away.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Reopening it lets you turn each category on or off again.
3. Necessary cookies (always on)
These cookies are essential for the website to function and to remember your basic preferences. They do not track you for advertising and cannot be switched off, because the site would not work properly without them. No consent is required for this category.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
cc_cookie | Do Your Journey | Stores your cookie consent choices | 6 months |
theme (localStorage) | Do Your Journey | Remembers your light/dark preference | Persistent (local) |
4. Analytics cookies (with consent)
These cookies help us understand how visitors find and use our site so we can improve it, for example, which tours people view most. They are set only after you accept the Analytics category. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation).
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes individual users | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Stores session and state for GA4 | 2 years |
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Persists the Clarity user ID | 1 year |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Connects multiple pageviews in one session | 1 day |
5. Marketing cookies (with consent)
These cookies let us measure the performance of our ads and show relevant offers to people who have visited our site. They are set only after you accept the Marketing category. We use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.).
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta | Identifies browsers for ad delivery and measurement | 3 months |
fr | Meta | Ad delivery and measurement | 3 months |
6. Google Consent Mode v2
Google Consent Mode v2 is the mechanism we use to honour your choice with Google's tools. While you have not consented, we instruct Google not to use cookies for analytics or advertising.
When consent is denied, Google may still receive cookieless, aggregated signals (such as anonymous, modelled measurement) that do not identify you. Once you accept, full analytics and marketing measurement is enabled. If you later withdraw consent, we revert to the cookieless state.
7. Managing your cookies
You are always in control of your cookies. Here are the ways to manage them:
- Cookie settings: use the "Cookie settings" link in our footer to review and change your consent for each category at any time.
- Your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
- Google opt-out: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Meta ad settings: manage your advertising preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example, if we add or remove a provider or a regulation changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes that affect your consent may prompt the banner to reappear so you can review your choices.
