Our story
Born on the mountain we love to share
We are a small family of Kintamani locals who grew up in the shadow of Mount Batur. For years we have walked its ridgelines in the dark so that travelers can meet the sunrise the way we always have, quietly, together, above the clouds.
Rooted in
Kintamani, Bali
Where it began
A footpath, a flashlight, and a love for first light
It started with friends and a thermos of coffee. We knew the safe lines up the crater, the bends where the lake first catches the light, the spot where breakfast tastes best.
What began as guiding the occasional curious guest became our way of life. Today we run small-group sunrise hikes and 4WD jeep tours that still feel personal, never a crowd, never rushed. You are walking with neighbours who know this volcano by heart, not a faceless agency.
We keep groups small on purpose. It means more eyes on safety, more room for your questions, and the kind of unhurried mornings that turn a trip into a memory. Everything we earn stays close to home, in the villages around Kintamani.
“We do not just take people up a mountain. We share the morning we grew up with, and we bring everyone home safe.”
From our mornings
Mornings we've shared on Batur
Real first light from our small-group trips, no stock photos, just the mountain the way our guests meet it.
Before you go
Prepared mornings, safe summits
A little planning makes a cold, dark start feel effortless. Here is how we keep you safe, and what to slip into your bag the night before.
How we keep you safe
- Small groups with an experienced local guide on every departure
- Headlamps and a briefed, well-known route up the crater
- Pace set to the group, beginners are genuinely welcome
- Weather watched daily; we will reschedule rather than risk a bad morning
What to bring
- Closed shoes with grip (trainers are fine)
- A warm layer or light jacket, the summit is chilly
- A phone for photos (we provide headlamps)
- A little water; we also provide bottled water
- Your camera, the sunrise earns it
- Sunscreen for the bright descent
What we stand for
Small group. Big heart. Light footprint.
-
Local & fair
Owned and guided by Kintamani locals. What you pay stays in our community.
-
Safety first
Briefed routes, watched weather, and small groups so no one is ever left behind.
-
Leave no trace
We carry out what we carry in and keep the trails as wild as we found them.
-
Genuine welcome
You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend, that is the Balinese way.
